To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Latvian National Guard (Zemessardze), the special event amateur radio callsign YL35ZS will be active from 17 to 23 August 2026.
🇱🇻 YL35ZS will be operated by amateur radio operators serving in the Latvian National Guard, making contacts with radio amateurs in Latvia and around the world and marking the 35th anniversary of the National Guard on the amateur radio bands.
YL35ZS will be active on:
* HF amateur radio bands;
* SSB and CW modes;
* various digital modes.
Radio amateurs worldwide are invited to listen for YL35ZS and make a contact with the station!
